Chris Hawkins Skull and Claw Pendant Necklace

All men's jewellery created by British designer, Chris Hawkins, is crafted in his Brighton based studio. Hawkins is renowned for his contemporary bold and nature-inspired pieces which are handcrafted to a extremely high standard. The 'Skull & Claw' necklace is a prime example of  Hawkins' exquisite work.

What gives this necklace its individual look is the combination of both titanium and silver. The 50cm long cable chain is constructed from the light-weight and corrosion resistant metal, titanium. This chain fastens securely with a titanium lobster claw clasp.

Suspended from the cable chain are two 925 silver oxidised pendants which have a unique darkened finish. This darkened effect reflects Hawkins' influence of the evolved beauty of natures predators. The pendants matches the chain beautifully as it has also been darkened using the oxidising technique. 

The first pendant has been designed as the upper part of an animals skull which sits at 2cm long and 1.5cm wide. The second pendant is a detailed open claw which sits at 3cm long and 1cm wide. Both pendants sit independently on the chain which gives the necklace a subtle natural movement.
