It is the quality of materials, techniques and design that have enabled the IHD men's jewellery collection to create such items as the 'Mantle' men's cufflinks. Iain Henderson is a British designer who has designed the entire range within his studio in York, England.
100% of the 'Mantle' links have been completed in 925 silver. It is the head of these cufflinks that is the main feature of these links. The cube style shape enables them to sit against a cuff with a 7mm depth, 1.3cm squared width.
The 5 surfaces of the links have been finished with a soft, brushed effect which gives the silver a matte finish. Over the silver 3, 0.5mm deep lines have been cut into the silver. 2, run across the width and another vertically. To highlight these lines and enhance the masculine and streamlined style of these men's cufflinks, the silver has been oxidised. This process blackens the silver.
The 'Mantle' cufflinks are fixed, meaning that they have a static bar which threads through a shirt cuff and fastens using the opposing square end that has been placed at the end of the 1.2cm long bar. These classic style men's cufflinks have been subtly updated by using modern silversmithing techniques and Henderson's design ideas, they come delivered within a premium Aaron Kane presentation box.
