Annika Rutlin

Brighton based jewellery designer, Annika Rutlin, has created a men's jewellery range which has stemmed from her Scandinavian heritage. Being born in Belgium and having parents from both Norway and Sweden, Annika Rutlin has been surrounded by a range of European cultures, art and society which has resulted from her travelling to and from seeing family and studying. This fact, along with her silversmithing and design apprenticeship in both Stockholm and Sheffield, a distinct style and signature designs has been created. These designs offer a contemporary classic jewellery range.

Ranges such as the Idun (Mythological Nordic Goddess) is an example of how Rutlin's Scandinavians roots have inspired her design style, rings such as the 'Shield ring' have smooth, clean, modern lines that imitate rune stones. The use of solid 925 silver is exploited by Rutlin and the qualities of the precious metal is used and exposed to the highest quality and design style.

Within the range a signature design has been evolved and has been used to stylise bracelets, cufflinks and necklaces. It is this feature of the range that displays the confidence in which the Annika Rutlin range induces. The elegance of the simple solid 925 silver structure is textured and given a dynamic surface; with a uneven cut surface and satin polished silver. The solid structure has been carefully designed to offer an alternative and quality appeal.

The collections that run through the Annika Rutlin range for men are simple stunning. The bold and crisp lines that are created from the patterns, shapes and creations are found in traditional and contemporary design in Scandinavian giving the jewellery an additional feature. This concept can be seen throughout the range which offers the genre of men's jewellery a collection that can stand the test of time and appeal to all.
