PRODUCT SUMMARY
As part of the Linear 10 range, the 'Surmount' men's necklace is an example of the stunningly designed and created IHD collection, from British designer, Iain Henderson. Based within a studio in West Yorkshire, England, Henderson has achieved in creating a men's jewellery range which is both classic and contemporary in its design.
The 'Surmount' necklace is constructed from a 45cm in long length of black of leather. The leather has been capped with 925 silver. This cap is used to fasten the necklace securely around the neck using a lobster clasp. The leather that has been sued has a round profile and has a 2mm width.
The leather necklace threads through and suspends a 100%, 925 silver pendant. The pendant has been finished to sit with a 2cm length and 5mm squared width. The bottom 6mm of the rectangular pendant has been highlighted and subtly separated using an indented lined. The line has been oxidised; meaning that the silver has been blackened using this technical process.
The silver surface of the bottom section has also been 'Frosted'. This technique gives the silver a subtle textured and matte effect. The top half of the silver pendant has been finished with a polished surface, contrasting the frosted panel at the base.
The classic style of this men's necklace reflects the understanding approach Iain Henderson takes towards his IHD jewellery range.
